A day at Kurikoma-San
We decided not to go hiking this weekend due to the earthquake, and the dangers of continued earthquakes / aftershocks / landslides. Helicopters continue to search the area for missing people and other dangers. Last night we had another earthquake. It was only 5.1M, but again it originated in the same area where the above photos were taken. Maybe we’ll go hiking somewhere south next weekend instead!

Like it says on my Facebook profile, I’m at the beach! About a 40 minute bike ride from the city, it’s like another world out here. Hot sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see, and the Sea of Japan is SO warm.
