Living Out Of A Suitcase
Living Out Of A Suitcase
The Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) have finally arrived here, north of Sendai, so hopefully we can say goodbye to the wicked winter winds which inhabit this area.
Visited a small park near the river with Kyoko early this afternoon, where the children played and the elderly looked on in silent jealousy. I was reflecting on this point as we strolled through the park when we came upon a 75ish old man taking a piss against a tree right beside the footpath. He was being assisted (of course) by a pretty young retirement home worker. Beside them stood an equally old man, who was either there for morale support, or because he had to go next. Either way, a large and clean public toilet stood a mere 30 feet away, but he felt compelled to answer Nature's call… in the nature. With the help of a young assistant.
Well played sir, well played…
To complicate matters, a centipede-like stream of uniformed 5yr-old schoolkids were rapidly approaching from the other direction. By that point I was too busy laughing to myself to notice the look of impending doom on the poor girl's face. I wonder what she thought when she woke up this morning…
"Yes! Today I'm going to go to the park with some old people, take part in some public nudity, and hopefully mentally scar a group of 5 year olds for life!"
