The crown jewel of the Roppongi Hills urban development, this 54-story skyscraper rises up above the waste and detritus that roam the entertainment district’s streets at night. The building itself, as well as the district it’s located in, has had its fair share of incidents over time.

Kokeshi are small wooden dolls that are famous throughout Japan, and made in this region of Tohoku. There is some debate about the origin of these dolls, with infanticide being one of the theories. This huge metal kokeshi resides in Nishi Park here in Sendai.
